16 year old easyjet ID?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
I fly home to London every year and my children go via my passport and there birth certificates 'now my son is 16 and have red he needs photo ID what's the cheapest and best ID for him to get as he will be getting his pervisional licance in a few months and don't want to spend a lot on something only going to be used once ' chears in advance

As it's a domestic flight, easyJet will accept a provisional driving licence as photo ID. So if you don't need to fly before he can get it, that kills two birds with one stone. He can use his licence. If you want to go before that, look into getting him a CitizenCard.

Well done for not using Ryanair - they absolutely insist on a passport!

If it is a domestic flight go by train and you and your son will not require any ID. You will travel city centre to city centre and won't waste time checking in, going through security and paying extra for luggage. The cheapest rail tickets are those booked well in advance for specifically timed trains. Booking opens 11 weeks ahead of your journey

What's your son's citizenship, and what does he need ID for?

It might be worth getting him his own passport (adult passports last 10 years, so it will obviously last a while)

By the way it's a domestic flight
