-Sat with my best friend and never been on a long bus journey like that before so any advice/personal experiences :)

Long bus rides can suck but they can also be a lot of fun if your with your friends. Take things like books, your ipod, your ipad and even a deck of cards. A camera is also fun to take. As for food, take things like crisps or crackers and little things like cookies :) Try to get some sleep and try not to think of it as being 26 hours :)

Long time ago we done it every year from Scotland to Spain as it was cheaper than flying, take a pillow for your head and if you can take a sleeping bag because you will get cold when you are very tired, take books, puzzles, soda, sandwiches etc, it wont be as bad as it sounds as you will stop every few hours to stretch your legs and let the smokers off for a cigarette, make sure you walk about regularly or your ankles will swell up, Good Luck

Music/Books/Puzzle Book/Magazines/Snacks/Drinks a comfy pair of socks & a cardigan/blanket. Audio Books are great too. Most importantly get one of those squidgy U shaped pillows to go around your neck. You can get ones with a little clip that just attach to your bag without having to pack it. They will help you get some much needed rest and stop you getting a stiff neck/doing the noddy dog :)

Bring your suitcase

FLY!
