Delphi, Olympia, Vergina, Epidavros Mycenae, are only a few with ancient historical interest.
Meteora, Mount Athos if you are man, are the two important religious places.
Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Zakynthos, Kefalinia, Corfu, Rhodos, are a few of the islands that can be interesting in many ways.
The whole mainlansd and North Greece can be interesting if you can travel around.
As you can see, there are already a great load and that is only minimal of what you can get.
Other than Athens (which goes without saying). RHODES AND CORFU for their varied attractions. RHODES TOWN for its historical old town and vibrant culture.
MYKONOS for its high end tourism. SANTORINI for its unique and beautiful scenery.
And THESSALONIKI because it is one of the most up and coming tourist hotspots in Europe. It is a big city with all of the facilities a big city has, but it is not as big or as noisy and congested as Athens, so it is easier to get around. It has great nightlife, a lovely long promenade, beauty, interesting sites, lovely beaches nearby for day trips, and friendly people.
Depends on what you want to do! We just got back from Mykonos & Santorini and they were both amazing but very different. Mykonos has a lot of clubs (some great gay clubs in town or the Paradise & super Paradise beach clubs) There are tons of beaches to explore (must rent a quad)
Santorini was a little more laid back, lots of beaches & restaurants & pubs & beach bars, great sunsets, wineries etc. Again you must rent a quad to make your time there worth it. Very easy island to navigate.
Greece is one of the beautiful place traveler loves to visit! Educational spot or just scenery? they have all. The Cape Sounion, Thessaloniki, Zagori, the Halkidiki!
