Safe countries for non white WOMEN to visit? Will dark skinned women be degraded there?

As long as you dress well, to avoid being confused for a Gypsy (they traditionally get a bad treatment), and avoid smaller towns - you should be alright. If you're visiting only the touristy places like Sarajevo and Mostar then you shouldn't have any problems at all, we have plenty of non-white visitors here.

I wish Jonny was right but that's not really the case in the highly homogenous Eastern Europe. But it's not all that bad either, we're slowly adapting. You might get some weird looks, maybe some grandmas staring at you, but it's not because they hate you, it's just that they're not used to seeing dark skinned people in person.

No, they are relatively dark skinned and very accepting now.

Most european countries are! And I would doubt you'd have any issues!

I am actually 25 and a white male but I travel a huge amount and speak to a lot of people and I cannot see you being anything but accepted in most of Europe! As long as you are friendly and happy people will be the same to you. British and most european people do not as a rule degrade woman of whatever colour age or anything else

As for Albania I can assure you that you will not have any more problems that you would have in other European counties. There are a lot of non white peoples, men and women, who work and live here and I've never heard of any incident happening because the color of the skin.

Smaller towns and villages are more likely to have people with prejudices, so if you're going to be in bigger cities, you're be okay, if you're dressed appropriate, considering that in Albania and Bosnia live muslims, and they have different opinion then other people as how women should look, behave and dress, as you already know.

I, personally, would be afraid to go there alone, but because I'm Orthodox from Balkan and we don't have nice tension between our nations.

Anyway, be careful and have a good time! :)

I live in Sarajevo and people here are very friendly. They don′t judge people by color or race. Sarajevo is city where different people lived through many centuries and different religions like Islam, Christianity and Judaism

In Albania you will be good, nobody abuses darker colored people here. There are many and they are respected, maybe a lot more than our fellow albanians.
