Chechens represent a mix of Semites and Turkic => Middle Easterners.
In Russian Federation they are Rossiyane by nationality (yet, we hope it'll change), Chechens by ethnicity.
"Caucasian" notion, which refers to the White race, has nothing to do with the contemporary population of the Caucasus. Ancient Caucasians were Europeans/Europeoids (hence the another synonym), but they were genocided by the Middle Easterners many centuries ago (esp during the Khazar yoke).
So all those kavkazians - Chechens, Georgians, Dagestanis etc are descendants of the Khazar genociders, not Europeans - true Caucasians.

- Q: "... 31 And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai."
- Sheshan = Sheshen/Chechen.
Also, many Chechens say that "Noxchi" means "sons of Noah".
Finally, along with Dagestanians and Georgians, they've always been in very "tender" relationships with the Jews, despite the masks, i.e. different religious beliefs and even politics (e.g. when Chechens were allies of Nazis in WWII - against Rus' people exclusively though, not against Jews of course).
I think Chechens are more Turkic than Slavic.
That's a guess, though.
Chechen are caucasian, russes are slavic. What can not be clear?
Definitely not Slavic but I don't know their origin
They are neither Russian nor Slavic.
You is Giaour. Do not get caught in the eyes of true Nokhchi.
