A thousand and more years ago it was difficult to tell the Scots and the Irish apart, as there was a great deal of coming and going between the two countries. The north of Ireland is visible from the west coast of Scotland on a clear day - they're that close.
But they have been totally separate countries for many hundreds of years now.
No, they are not the same thing. Scottish people live in Scotland, and Irish people live in Ireland.
No, the Scottish, live/born in Scotland and are British and the Irish born/live in Republic of Ireland and are Irish....... two different nationalities living on two different islands
No. The Irish are from Ireland, the Scottish are from Scotland. These are two different peoples from different countries.
No Irish come from Ireland and Scottish from Scotland...PLEASE see a map of The UK & Ireland to help you. Locate Scotland and Ireland on it.
No; in the same way that Ireland and Scotland are not the same country.
Obviously.
No they aren't, they are two separate countries with different cultures. I take it you are American and you wouldn't like it if someone asked if Americans and Canadians are the same thing.
They allegedly share a gaelic heritage but they are very disimilar - Ireland has very distinctly different customs, mores etc to Scotland.
Are American and Canadian? No. They're different. There's Ireland and there's Scotland and they have different cultures and traditions.
