Hispanic has nothing to do with race: in Latin-America there are Hispanics who are indian, mestizo (mixture of indian and European, like most people in Mexico), white, mulato or black.
Whoever that tells you that Spaniards from Spain are not white, is an ignorant, like many people from the USA who don't know that Spain is in Europe.
They come in all colours, many of them have Moroccan and Irish ancestors.
