It's always best to stay in (or adjacent to) the Old Town in any city in Europe, including Marbella, Spain. I'd pick a place right on the beach.
I heard that puerto banos is the best location for night life in Marbella, but it seems its very expensive, so would you recommend another location that night life in it is as puerto banos but less expensive and not low level at the same time.
