Pack it, weight it at the post office ( that tells you what the cost for posting is going to be) register it which costs more or at least get "proof of posting" as if it goes missing then you have no claim as you have no proof of posting ( free)
Send it via Parcel Force via any post office which will weigh it for you and sell you the correct stamps and also insurance if you require it
Same as to any other part of The UK or even same as to the next town....ASK at Post Office.
