First thing you look at is there cloths and shoes. Look at the brand stickers. That gives you a idea. Way they talk watch there hands and the way they move them talking. Easy to spot the tourest. They do not fit in ordering in a cafe, look confused, speak short if they know the language at all. Then you meet people like me and get confused. Shoes custom made in the Philippines, pants from the discount bin that were to be shipped to Germany, S American brand name on the shirt from the bin, Austrailian hat, belt from Thailand. And we fit in any were. But were we are.
Shouting English loudly in the hope that they will be understood.
Talking rudely to people who don't understand them.
Pushing in and shoving their way through.
Eating in MacDonalds or Starbucks, rather than trying out local eateries.
You tend to hear them before you spot them. They are quite loud. And generally rude.
By contrast, non-ignorant Americans - and they DO exist - are quieter and more polite.
They look different from the ignorant Chinese, Russian and other ignorant tourists. That's how you spot them.
