Just have common sense, pickpockets usually go for naive / absent-minded/ drunken tourists who leave their suitcases unattended while looking at a map or sleep on the beach or other incredible things.
The biggest crime problem In Barcelona for tourists in some areas is being a victim of Barcelona pickpockets. Sadly there are many pickpockets in popular tourist areas. They target handbags, phones and wallets, which they try to steal without the owners noticing. Just protect yourself and your expensive things with full of care.
You don't worry. Nowadays Barcelona is very safe and pickpockets are less. So you enjoy and hav fun. If you want to book a villa then check this http://vakantiehuizenspanje.villamar.nl/...
When it is sunny outside, and you plan to photograph things outside, take one of those cheap disposable cameras instead.
Hi, i am visiting Barcelona this August and i am just concerned about the amount of pick pockets in this city. I am 14 and will be visiting with my mother, and i am looking forward to taking lots of photos of the architecture etc, but i am wondering what would be the best way to keep my camera safe. Whilst its a samsung digital, so not silly money, i would be gutted if it was stolen. I have been to Paris with school and London last year and wore it around my neck in a case and didn't have any problems as i am quite aware of these people and when walking through crowded streets etc kept my hand around the case and kept it around my neck whilst eating etc. Does everyone have any other tips to be at the least risk possible? Thanks.
