We'd probably leave the party at about 3/4am and our earilest train would be like 6 or 7 am.
Would we be chucked out? Or...
Cheers guys!
I wouldn't try it, and particularly not when drunk. But hey you're young (presumably) and only have three hours or so to kill. There are (or were in my younger days - I keep more respectable hours these days) all-night cafes where you can get a fry-up or something equally unhealthy (take a tip - line the stomach BEFORE sleeping off the party). Or you can take advantage of the chance of seeing London at a time when you don't usually see it. It can be very different (eerie, but fascinating) from its daylight persona. Then stand in the middle of Waterloo bridge and watch the sun come up. It's something everyone should experience once.
Then sleep on the train.

in a lot of stations - the staff kick people out after the last train in all but the biggest (or the smallest, unmanned) stations. In the really big ones, you are normally OK provided you look respectable and don't get into a whole thing of getting into a sleeping bag, but they can also be extremely cold at night even in summer (for some peculiar reason, railway stations appear to be the coldest places in the known world) and a lot of the cafes close down after a certain time. It's generally to be avoided if at all possible
Don't even think of sleeping in a London station esp. not Waterloo which is patrolled by the BTP (British Transport Police) they got cams all over the place and can see into every corner, nook and cranny - believe.

There is something about Waterloo Station which you need to understand. It is not just any old station. Go to the Victory Arch and start reading the names of those who dies in Battle for us in WW-One. This railway station is in effect a shrine to the fallen. Be respectful and go into the station on or after it opens - see times above.

You could, in theory, but it's so noisy and cold and uncomfortable that you're unlikely to get much sleep. To say nothing of the obvious and considerable safety and security risks.
Why do you have to sleep in any case? Either you're so young that you can surely stay up one night and crash when you get home (I sure did in my days), or you're old enough to know better anyway.
Find an all-night greasy spoon and have a fry-up and a pot of tea, that'll see you through until you get home, and probably make you feel so much better when you wake up the next day.
You will probably be asked by the Police why you are on the station at that hour particularly if you actually fall asleep. As long as you are in a possession of a valid ticket for travel, they will let you stay. Waterloo Station is not particularly dangerous at night contrary to other answers
But you will return to the station after 4AM so assuming its between 30mins-1 hour to get to the station. You will basically have about 2 hours to chill so not much sleep can you get from there, even if you wait at the station, either just chilling or having a nap, you can say "my train will come at 6/7AM right?" so not like you will be forced to wait outside the station.
I have slept in parks but you have to jump over a fence and not be seen. Airports are okay, check the site 'Sleeping in Airports'.
Nope. It's dangerous and the police will move you on. Where, exactly, will you sleep? The seats aren't suitable.
Find a 24 hour McDonald's somewhere
No chance whatsoever - the few benches and chairs are designed to beimpossible to sleep on.
Booked in advance there are cheap hotel rooms.
