Any state should be secular, like Turkey is, but there's no harm in having a religious path as long as you're not trying to shove it down other people's throats.
Kemal Ataturk disliked Islam, this is clear. Although his pictures are seen everywhere as he is the founder of modern Turkey, a sizeable number of Turks dislike him, particularly the religious muslim Turks. This is not because of his secular ideas, but because he put forward many anti Islamic laws. He banned the calls to prayers from mosques for a period in Turkey and he did several other things that most muslims would not approve of.
Kemalism is not a religion .So you can be a kemalist and Muslim at the same time
But you cannot be a radical Muslim ,Jihadist , Wahhabi ,Salefi , Muslim Brotherhood or H?zbullah supporter if you are Kemalist ..I bet this is not the answer you were looking for..
Now shout Allahu Akbar and blow yourself up ok?
Secularism and Islam can work perfectly fine.
No, because a kemilst is a borderline fascist and a Muslim is a borderline fanatic...
