I live close to Fuengirola............you can buy best back bacon in Iceland now cheaper than in the UK, Euromarket has some of the best tasting streaky bacon and back bacon also cheaper than the UK, we can also now buy cheddar cheese and other varieties cheaper than the UK, why do you think folks are still moving here despite all the BS that has been on the TV news this morning, DON'T BELIEVE ALL YOU READ OR HEAR IN THE PRESS AND ON TV, they are getting like the politions in the Uk can't tell the truth to save their necks let alone the country.............here my rant ends...................!
PS - pack it in 6/8 slices in a packet, freeze it, wrap in foil, put in checked in baggage, its for your own consumption , I do the reverse when I go back to the UK buy large boxes of KING prawns - wrap up well still frozen by the time I get to Nottm.

Yes, BUT only from the EU. It is illegal to import meat products from outside the EU.
Basically, you can bring in anything from another EU country. That was one of the things the EU was about.
As others have said you can get food in Spain. Lidl almost always has English bacon and Spanish 'butifarra' pork sausages are top quality. (Pork pies and Scotch pies are hard to find).
The butchers in municipal markets have everything. (within reason)
I have been searching for the same answers all day! planning to go SC to Spain myself in July. So, I have tried to do some research and as far as I can make out, you are allowed to take food to any country within the EU as long as it is EU certified . That includes fresh meat and dairy products.
Not sure about fruit or vegetables though. Dried or tinned foods are ok to take but if they contain liquids, you can't pack them in your hand luggage...unless it is less than 100ml in each container.
