First and main fact - there wasn't communism in Russia or USSR. There was monarchy until 1917, in 1917-1991 there was socialism and from 1991 there is "dermocracy".
there was no any communism in Russia in 20 century and nobody in USSR ever claimed it was.
Communism was the official economic system in Russia from 1917 to 1990. Under that system, everyone's labor was for the good of the country, not the individual. Entrepreneurship was not permitted, but surely existed.
