Have a great time!
I have been to Magaluf in October and the price of food is near enough just the same as British restaurants. If you are going to a busy area remember that beach restaurants are much more expensive than the ones in the street. If you are on a budget you would be best buying from an open air supermarket or bars and pubs. Hope you find this useful. :)
We were in Alcudia Majorca last July and eating out is slightly more expensive than the UK but beer is a lot dearer around 4euro a pint and coffee is the same price, the supermarket prices were almost 3 times uk price for british food but there was german and spanish food that was cheaper if you know what you are eating but a small Fray Bentos tin of corned beef which is around £1 in uk supermarkets cost us 3euro50cents which is around £3.50 and a packet of 4 slice's of bacon cost 4euro which is £4 but it is only £1.39 in my corer shop, it cost us 5euro(£5)for a basic happy meal from Burger King, we ate out most mornings for the normal english breakfast of bacon, eggs etc and it was 4euro but also 4euro for your tea/coffee which is 8euro(£8) for breakfast? The september before we went all inclusive and we still managed to spend around £800 just on toasties and beer and coffee as you sometimes go out for the day, Good Luck
Like Jack said. Prices are pretty much the same throughout Europe. You can go cheaper by going to a supermarket, or, better yet, the open air market.
Much the same as the UK, but the menu del dia is always excellent!
I am planning a self catering holiday in Majorca this coming September. I am concerned about the cost of eating out and generally buying food. Can anyone tell me the difference to the UK:
a) What could I expect to pay for dinner in a normal pub restaurant?
b) What is the price difference for basic goods in a supermarket - drinks, food and general consumables.
Thanks all :)
