Do Greeks hate Filipinos?

There was one filipino user who shared this particular question to other Filipino answerers about insulting Greeks and greek culture because of the financial crisis and all. That was years ago.

Meanwhile in that same question, the greek answerers then told many negative things about us in return such as how poor we are compared to them (ex. domestic helpers going to your country), how many countries invaded us in the past and that how our culture and traditions that we practice today arent authentic and all came from the foreign invaders.

When he shared that question to other Filipino answerers, they attacked him as well for being stupid and ignorant.

I asked this question because I wonder if Greeks really hate us? I woud not actually hate a country and its people that I don't really know much. For me, it seems to be a beautiful country as this country is rich in historical traditions, beliefs and field of studies. As well as good sight seeings.

You can't draw conclusions from what you see in YA. The anonymity of the users confers false bravery and sometimes extremism. I have travelled the Greek Islands extensively and the only nationality they distrust is the Turks. That is down to past military conflicts and unresolved issues. So I am confident that Greeks regard Filipinos no differently to any other nationally.

Although this question has been resolved, it poses some issues that are not truthfull only in some of its parts.

It is a fact that Filipinos, ever since they first came to this country were treated in a very humane and equal basis. That was on account that those who first arrived were hand-picked by ship-owners who had them in their work staff for a long time before and therefore they were known of their character and personal behaviour. Those in turn invited other Filipinos who were equally of good character. Possibly, the mentality and personal beliefs of them all was such of a pacifist nature that made them lovable to Greeks.

Also, Greeks who were well aware of what involves of having to work abroad were more positive towards them and as far as I know Filipinos were treated with respect and warmth. They, on the other hand respected both their employers and the country and rarely gave reasons to be hated or mistreated.

We must'nt ignore the fact that in any nation there are good an bad but fortunately those are the minority and they are not making the rule.

I am Greek and I am married to a Filipino, so there is your answer. I am from Athens , but I visited Cyprus on several occasions and I noticed that many of the Greek Cypriot men there were married to Filipinos.

You just happened to meet a jackazz.I am arab/indian and i can honestly tell u that NO Greek hate or care to bother himself to hate Filipinos. If a Greek knows something about Filipinos they say that they are nice and polite and welcomed people if he/she knows nothing about them just simply dont care to hate if they come across to a Filipino they will treat u very well behind anonymous accounts everyone can say many things and pretend to be many nationalities as well that is why i never go anonymous nothing to hide here.
