I think I feel British as I have a connection to somewhere else and don't feel Gaelige.

It sounds more like that you're satisfied for some reason. Having some British blood doesn't disqualify Irishness. There's plenty of Irish with some British blood , especially in the North and along the East both Catholic and Protestant in background .
How well do actually know Britain? Maybe you just like what think being British might mean.
Ireland perhaps more than any other country is inclined to imitate what Britain does. So maybe much of what you may dislike about Ireland is similar in Britain.
Everyone should travel more before they make up their mind what they actually like or not.
It is actually one of the best reasons to travel and live someplace else. There's big world out there after all. See your present dissatisfaction as a motivational factor to go out and explore.
It doesn't "sound" like you are British and I can tell you you are not British, but Irish...... your ancestors are another thing and unless you research them properly and prove where they came from by looking at the written records then you will never know.

Where were you born and raised? What does your passport say? Having a Scottish grandparent doesn't really mean a thing. You're Irish. It's not something that's worth fretting about anyway.
Your a gobshite . And your unusual for an Irishman . I have lived here all my life and never met anyone that feels British . It is less than 80 quid to go to England try it .
Be glad you are Irish. I am proud to be Scottish. Also many folks in Scotland can speak Gaelic and identify with the old celtic traditions.
that all being said if you are good at a sport you can play for Scotland.
