Turkey is the most racist country in the world. With a huge difference. We hate nations, cultures, not the people. Noone will say anything to you nor talk behind your back once they meet you or even see you. So when it comes to the individual level, you'll have 0 problems. Plus Shohre is right, you're simply Turkish in our eyes.
We have many ethnic Türks like Tatars, Uzbeks, Azerbaijanians, Türkmens in big numbers, you can of course call yourself Turkish if you are from one of those ethnic Turkic groups if you cant speak Turkish you can say you are Turkish but cant speak it or say I am Turkish but my Turkish isnt good, dont forget that in primary school we learn our history starting from china ( Huns - G?ktürks ) and we accept all Turkics as Turkish, any Turkish blood makes you Turkish but if you feel like you are from other national groups thats also fine, you can say I am Paki-Turkish
People don't come in percentages or fractions. If you have the turkish nationality ("passport") you are legaly turkish. If turkish is one of your native languages and you speak it without problems, you are ethnically turkish
If Turkish people ask if you are Turkish, reply in Turkish that you are American.
No you are not Turkish, so do not pretend to be. You are a Pakistani, so accept who you are and do not self hate.
It's the putting of people in 'ethnicity' boxes that has everyone upset and confused about what they are.
You're human beings, people.
Except for the trolls. You're trolls.
Good night!
If your mother or father is Turkish, you are Turkish.
You will say I am American but my father is turkish and my mother is afghan.
But in the end no one will give a s*** about where you've come from.
Just enjoy your time in Turkey
if u are Hazara you can say you are Turkish , we are almost relatives with them
JUST SAY YOU ARE ASIAN(ARAB)
