Entertainment in Madrid?

I just step outside, and step into the first place that looks interesting.

A lot depends on what you want.

There's a tapas row on C/Cuchilleros, on the Toledo side of the Plaza Mayor. Other than that (which is a couple of metro stops, or a nice hike from where you are) you could just go into the bar on the corner, or any place that strikes your fancy.

There are a bunch of restaurants IN Plaza Mayor, but you pay more for the seat and front row to the entertainment, than the food, which is nothing to write home about.

One place that I really liked, was La Mallorquina, in Puerta del Sol...Pastelería, one of the best, imho. You ought to check that out while in the area.

Calle de Alcala begin from Puerta del Sol and end in the North-eastern of the City and Goya metro station is the last station. From Huertas street to Plaza de Santa Ana is one of the liveliest in Madrid the capital of Spain for the customers of night Owls.

Catte de las Huertas y Plaza de Santa Ana are located in the center of the city near to Plaza Mayor.

Went last year! Get a bus into the main city and there are shops, museums and monuments like the palace that you can go around! There are leaflets at the metro and also there are pools (it is VERY hot in Madrid)

Buy the latest copy of Time Out Magazine when you get there or Any other of the various What's on this month / week magazines on Newsstands.

I will be staying at Rafaelhoteles Ventas in Madrid (address: Calle de Alcalá, 269)

And if you can recommend any restaurants please do. thank you!!
