My friend and I plan go visit Europe in the Winter but need some help.
Our time frame is from December 12th - Januray 10th, so a month.
We definitely want to go to Paris and London but are unsure of where else. Any recommendations? We want no more than two other locations. We aren't picky, but whatever you suggest, please say why you suggest it?
Thanks! :)
I would definitely suggest Prague, it's a gorgeous city in center of Europe, the beer is delicious AND cheap (less than 2$ for a pint) although it's pretty cold in the Czech Republic, no city I've visited so far had such atmosphere as Prague does.
I live here so if you decide to come I can tell you more.))
Munich in Germany and Venice in Italy. Or you can go to Spain, but I've never been, so I can't recommend a city. But I think a tour of England, France, Germany and Italy will give you a good idea of the different cultures of Europe. The Northern countries are also a part of Europe with their own contributions to the culture, but since you're going in December and January, they might be so cold that you can't enjoy sightseeing there.
Amsterdam would be good since it's clsoe to both Paris and London. There's a nice small Christmas market and the Lights Festival along the canals. You could easily add Bruges/Brussels and/or Antwerp in Belgium. Or you might consider the Christmas markets in Germany. http://www.germany-christmas-market.org....
Both Copenhagen and Prague have great Christmas markets as well as the usual tourist attractions.
Germany is always nice in the winter.
