You could research paella, tapas and/or tortilla, which are typical of Spanish cuisine.

Alternatively, you could talk of the large variety of fruit grown in Spain and exported around the world. For instance, Spain is the largest producer of Olives and Olive Oil in the world.

Or, how about informing your class on the history of Sherry, another Spanish gem.

All the above can be easily researched on sites like Wikipedia.

Hot chocolate is time consuming and difficult to make...Churros? They must be freshly fried/hot, to be any good. You may NOT use the Mexican kind as they aren't anything like them.

Make a Tortilla Espa?ola. It can be served room temp. Find a recipe online. The trick is to cook it in a deepish pan. When it is half-cooked, you put a plate over the pan and flip it, then slide the raw side into the pan and finish it off.

When it is done, it looks sort of like a cheesecake. Cut into enough pieces for everyone...depending on the size of the class, you might want to make two. When cooled, they sell slices in bars as tapas.

Tell them what happens on Spanish pig farms. If you don't know yet, this video half way down the page will enlighten you. Only 6 minutes and you will see a slice of REAL SPANISH LIFE.

Then give them some Spanish pork deli goods - ham, sausages that kind of thing.

Did you try googling Spanish treats? Tapas comes to mind.

Let them try little pieces of Manchego cheese or Serrano ham slices (ideally rolled into little rolls), just stick a toothpick into each piece for easy handling and eating. With any luck, you'll find those in your supermarket/deli.

Churros and Hot chocolate is popular.

Café con leche.

Horchata.

I have to talk about Spain tomorrow in my economics class, and I want to get a treat for my classmates, but it has to be something Spanish. My friend talked about Brazil and she got us some Brazilian coffee for example..and for Sweden someone got Swedish chocolate. I want a simple idea for Spain :/
