It has been a few years since I was last there so cant remember the names of the pubs and restaurants but people do walk along the prom in the evening and until pretty late and yes you do get lots of those men selling watches & sunglasses and now happy pills, they also annoy you at the beach every day and there is now asian females walking along the beach asking if you want a massage, Good Luck
Lots of bars to choose from, avoid those in 24 hour square unless you like to live dangerously. Same for restaurants, if you like basic Spanish then the buffet bar at the end of the prom before you go up steps to marina is not bad. On the Torremolinos side there are lots of restaurants at varying prices. If you get up to Arroya de la Miele (where train station is) then there is a great Chinese buffet bar giving all you can eat with lots more than Chinese. We avoid `out and out` brit. bars but each to their own. Enjoy
Every Other door on the coast here is a bar or restaurant, the place is busy just now, the coast is doing very well, if you can't find any place that suits you it has NOT been built yet, have a lovely time,

I'm going to benalmadena in 9 days, staying pretty central I think, in san francisco apartments, so I'm wondering what good bars, cheap restaurants to go to, whats it like in the night time, do people walk along the prom, while those men sell watches and sunglasses etc. Is it busy? :)
