We are a group of 4, 16 year olds from the UK.
This is our last year of school together and wanted to go on holiday together in the summer. We finish school a few weeks early, so saw this period as a good opportunity to go somewhere.
Has anyone got any good suggestions of where we could go/what we could do?
It has to be relatively cheap, so nothing like £1000+ flights to Australia. We'd prefer to stay in Europe, but would like to leave the UK.
If anyone has any advice of any sorts, it'd be appreciated.
Flights and ferries can be expensive so it looks like you'll have to go by train. Eurostar trains operate daily from London to Paris and they can be relatively cheap if you book in advance. That's something I'd like to point out right away, book in advance! Everything will be much cheaper and you will be more prepared. To look for hotels, try websites like trivago and expedia and fill out the relevant information. They can even offer you transport as part of your package.
I would recommend France though. I went in October 2013 and it was fab!
If you go to Europe you will have probs with accommodation. No one rents to teenagers without an adult.
Most places in the UK don't either. You might find a youth hostel somewhere.
You could go travelling around or cycling and stay at youth hostels.
your real problem is your age ..your still a child ...you will only get in on youth hostels ...no car hire or hotels /motels ...a 16 year old is not responsible for debt ...surfing Newquay?
