Hampton Court Palace inside London Congestion Zone?

If driving from the West to Hampton Court Palace, do I need to pay a London Congestion Zone fee? I can see that the zone goes right along the road the palace is on. Many thanks!!!

Hampton Court is a long way outside the Congestion Charging Zone. You are probably confusing the Greater London boundary or possibly the London Low Emission Zone with the Congestion Charging Zone.

Hampton Court stands beside the River Thames, which in that area forms the border between Greater London and the county of Surrey, so Hampton Court is just inside Greater London. You are probably looking at a map showing that. The Congestion Charge zone only covers inner London, and the nearest place within it is about nine miles away from Hampton Court.

It is also possible that you have a map showing the London Low Emission Zone, but that only applies to commercial vehicles.

Hampton Court is nowhere near the congestion charging zone. This is a much smaller area of central London. What you may be seeing are signs for the Low Emission Zone, which is basically the whole of Greater London, and whether you pay for driving within that depends on what you are driving and how old it is. If you're driving a car or motorbike, you definitely don't pay to drive in the LEZ.

It's nowhere near the Congestion charging zone, that is only a small part of Central London. Your mao must be rong, Hampton Court Place does NOT border the CC zone.

Coming from the west you get to Hampton Court a long way before the Congestion Zone. The problem will be parking.

I have been there and the car park is over half a mile away, it's a very long walk through a park, and you have to pay.

We found it disappointing as all the rooms were empty, unlike most houses where furniture is in place so you can see how they lived.

One man dressed up as Henry and that was it for atmosphere.

The café and gardens were nice.

Nowhere near! What map are you looking at??

No, it's in Surrey.
