Sitges is not only a straight resort which welcomes gay people, but also a family resort.
Not only is the town great fun for EVERYONE but is only 40 minutes from Barcelona by the very regular commuter trains.
I recommend Sitges highly. It is Barcelona's Brighton.
I have been to Sitges last month because my friends are opening a hotel boutique there right next to the beautiful beach. I loved this town! I was able to see the carnival there, just like Rio in Brasil. I enjoyed the show, the food and all this town has to offer, sure a lot of fun.
Sitges is a great place to visit - for singles, couples, families or whatever! There is a huge choice of food attractions and the town also promotes itself as the 'Town of Festivals' due to the number of fiestas, parties and events throughout the year. Sitges is particularly famous for it's week long Carnival celebrations (February / March), International Film Festival (October) and many beautiful, clean and sandy beaches.

Sitges is a beautiful town which is around about 35 kilometres southwest of Barcelona. It is famous for its carnival. Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla is an amazing point of attraction there.
Hi, me and a group of straight friends (male and female) are looking at going to Sitges next July. Can someone tell me a little bit more about this town and what places there are to visit? the gay scene is a concern of mine and there are no recent answers as such on this board.
