has Spain ever won a war? if so what war(s) have they won?

Spain has been involved in a couple of wars, or is that 100 (plus) wars dating back as far as 218 BC up through their involvement in the UN sanctioned Libya action in 2011.

You win some, you lose some but if you want to see a listing of wars they were in then

Spain won French invasion war, the Spanish Moroccan War, the 3rd Carlist War,the 10 years war the little war

Not really. They won lots of colonial wars against tribal or backward national opposition but I cannot think of a big war they won unaided.

Even the conquest of Mexico was won with the help of local tribes who hated the Aztecs. And even Robert the Bruce's heart was taken to Spain to fight against the Moors by Douglas - the reconquest was an early EU operation with troops from all over Europe involved.

It could be stated with certainty that they won the Civil War, but that is in very bad taste.

Spain was always involved in many of the skirmishes and wars of Europe.

Disregarding Spain as small kingdoms, which conquered each other: Border wars with France, The war against the Moors (Boabdil - Granada, unifying the last major part of the country to be annexed). PART of the country won the Civil War, of course...all the battles that conquered various parts of the world, including some of Africa, Almost all of the "New World", and parts of Asia, border wars with Portugal, and wars in Europe, known as the Spanish Crusades (Catholic Spain against the newly sprouting Protestant factions within the Holy Roman Empire under Carlos V and his descendants).

Just to name a few.

Just wondering: What does this have to do with Travel?

At one point they controlled half the Western Hemisphere. They didn't buy it with beads.
