Turkey is supposedly a secular state. A girl actually has rights there. It's not as free as say France or Italy, but it's a whole lot freer than Saudi Arabia. Also if push came to shove you can go to Istanbul and literally disappear. Istanbul is a huge cosmopolitan city with dozens of ethnic enclaves, a person can literally fall off the planet, disappear, your parents would never find you in a hundred years.
Hi, I'm from Turkey so I think I can give you more accurate information than the ones above...Nobody will force you to wear burqa in Turkey...For example, I'm a Turkish girl (teenager) but I don't wear a burqa...Turkey is a free country...Yes, you can wear shorts and t-shirts that's what I always wear...Nobody will stone you for that because almost every teenager girl wears those...I go to beach every summer and I always wear my bikini...I don't know what you wear in Saudi Arabia but it's perfectly fine to wear bikini at the beach...I mean that's what every Turkish girl wear...Of course there are bars to drink beer but I don't think you're old enough for that...Nobody will ever come to you and ask if you had sex without marriage so no it's not illegal...Yes, Turkey is a Muslim country but nowhere near the other ones...You choose whatever you want to be...You can cover your whole body if you want or you can wear shorts and not cover your head...It's up to you...I hope that answered all of your questions...Just let me know if you have anymore questions...You can e-mail me at any time :)
Noine can force you to wear hijab or burka. Considering the growing hatred towards to Arabs in EU, I'd choose Turkey to live. People are friendly and no one cares about your religion.
And TV shows are not ruled by government here.
You can drink anything you want, anytime you want. You can wear anything you want. You can love and have sex with anyone you want in Turkey. Yes it's a muslim country, but nowhere near the other ones.
Run.
Turkey is a secular republic, but old habits die hard. Dress modestly - as in cover your waist, cleavage, upper legs and upper arms when in public, as you might get unpleasant if you don't.
You have to pay £10 for a tourist visa on landing, but that is not much.
The Turkish TV series are run by the government. If you say something negative about the government, they'll arrest you, no freedom of speech. Don't believe everything you see on TV
