There is racism among some people in Spain, but (believe me), there is more racism in other European countries like France, the UK, Italy or Germany.
As many Spaniards make fun of practically everything, a waiter for example could tell you "gracias, moreno" (tanned) but if one doesn't know that there is no bad intention meant at all, one could be offended and perceive this comment as racist.

Probably not as much as you think, especially if you are basing your attitudes on the Spain haters that occasionally post here.

Spain is very tolerant and you may be black as a shoe- nobody will move an eyebrow. But this is true if you behave like a normal person. If you start playing tricks like stealing, drug-pushing and so on, you will hear a lot of very unpleasant remarks about you, your family and origin that you are free to classify as "racist".
It depends on your person , you might not encounter much discrimination in spain cus the rate there is dropping everyday so just pray that youre adorable and you will enjoy your stay there my bro lives over there and he says the girls are lovely and good
I was in spain for 4 times and the spaniards aren't racist. just the catalan people (barcelona and area) are a little bit racist especially to the spaniards xD
