How tall exactly are scandinavian people?

Posted at: 2015-06-30
Hi, I'm a 15 year old girl and I'm 5'11 (I know I'm huge) I'm a straight "A"student and currently live in England (even though I'm not british), so my point is, I really want to be a dentist when I'm older and I have decided to apply for university in either Denmark, Sweden or Norway. Mostly , because those are (in my opinion) probably the best, most developed countries in the world and I think I would get a great education there. But one of the other reasons which I know will sound extremely stupid to most of you is the fact that scandinavian people are one of the tallest in the world and I hope I would feel more normal there and my heigh would not be such a big problem unlike what it is right now. I have been bullied a lot growing up, I still do and I have just never felt in place. Like im this tall beast that no guy would even think to look at. I know I probably sound pretty shallow but I really do feel horrible about it.

So my question is for scandinavian people or those that have been in some of those countries: How tall are people there? Would I be looked at as a normal maybe slightly tall girl or it's the same thing as in other places and I still would be considered a giant?

Thank you very much to those that took time to read my question.

You will be considered a beautiful tall girl, (and make sure you walk the way to show you know you are.) and not extreme.

Select the best education, even if it means that you will be the tallest girl around.

Remember that in most countries dentists have to speak the local language and it is likely that at least part of the education is in that local language.

Which might mean that the country where you would prefer to go is a 'no go' if you can not speak the language well enough.

I am Dutch and I have been to Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and found tall people in all of those (and I have seen the average figures at times over the years.)

University students are always in the tallest age group in the European countries.

You'll be regarded as an attractive high woman, (and be sure you stroll how you can demonstrate understand you're. ) and never severe.

Choose the greatest training, even though this means that you'll be the actual highest woman close to.

Keep in mind that in many nations dental practitioners need to talk the neighborhood vocabulary which is most likely which a minimum of the main training is within which nearby vocabulary.

That might imply that the nation exactly where you'd would rather proceed is really a 'no go' if you cann't talk the actual vocabulary good enough.

You're basing your entire career on how tall people are?

Love, 5 11 is a fantastic height, you could be a runway model!!!!

You'll be still considered tall. Im shorter than average (153cm). I think if you want to study in scandinavia denmark has the most programs in english. Im finnish studying in sweden now and there's only few programs in english here.

You'd be considered tall, but certainly not a giant. I have a couple of friends your height and it's not something they seem to have issues with, many of guys will be taller than you.

You will still be considered taller than the average.

Try Holland - they are supposedly statistically tallest in Northern Europe.

Or just apply to the best university, wherever it is.
