Why is it that Russia gets to decide what places become and stay a part of Russia? Most of Russia is not even ethnic russians. Why can't these people get independence. Russia took Crimea to bring their people home. Why can't the republics become their own countries? Sakha, Mari El, Altai, I can go on and on.

You are also a bit selective in your examples. Why didn't you include Macedonia in your list up there, it used to be a colossal empire once. Or Mongolia? There is a number of countries that are now much smaller in territory than what they once used to be. According to your petty trolling, every state should be reformed into its former borders. And perhaps the former laws and traditions? And technology? And education? How about religion? Well, why don't we all climb up the trees again - or return the apple to the serpent, if you are one of those (I don't think I ever encountered a religious troll before).

Crimea was home to thousands of Russian armed forces. they had a legal limit which was not surpassed. there was NO INVASION. the Crimea VOTED to prevent Kiev thug fascists from coming and killing innocent people in the Crimean peninsula. they voted to JOIN RUSSIA. deal with that fact.

I got inheritance/property from both sides of my family in Kiev and Karelia, who lived here for hundreds of year, and I'm not going to leave it because some delusional Finn apparently has a lot of time on anti-Russian trolling rather than devoting his time on enjoying the life in his alleged "paradise".
