Yes Yes Yes. Last time I was there, they were operating.
A bit oldfashion, but the fact that the whole park hangs over the side of this tall mountain looming over Barcelona only adds to the effect. I've known people who went on the ride non-stop.
It's a cool trip getting up there, too, - wooden trolley car goes up some, then, the cable car, and then - top of the world. It's a strange place with a church on top and the amusement park, gardens all over, restaurants, and a view of forever and the Mediterranean.
Do it.
Ive never been in the amusement park though been up tibidaboo dozens of times. The church is a beautiful building and the views from up there are awesome. To me, its a childrens amusement park and too expensive for what it is.
If you want proper coasters go to portaventura. From wikipedia: King Khajuna – Europe's tallest free fall slide of 31 metres and 55 degree descent.
Ive been twice to portaventura, those coasters are terrifying. Google dragon khan.
There are coasters in Tibidabo, but much limited compared with Port Aventura if what you want are big emotions.
Port Aventura is in Salou about 70 miles South of Barcelona, and you can get there by train or paying freeway.
