Is Barcelona safe at night?

The Sagrada Familia area is very safe.

You can take a taxi occasionally if you are very tired, they are much cheaper than in other European cities, but taking a taxi everyday because of fear is just nonsense, don't be like some tourists, that seem to come from their mother's womb directly.

On the other hand, don't be like other kind of tourists, who are the contrary and are able to get drunk and lie down on a bench to sleep; they are the favourite preys of pickpockets, who, incidentally, come from the same countries.

At age 18 you sound like a "target". So be very careful. It is not just Barcelona, it is any city in the world. Let your gut instinct be your guide. If it feels scary, splurge for a cab.

Just make sure you are safe.

What do your parents say?

Taxi Barcelona is infested with idiots at night

I would ring a taxi, not due to it being unsafe, just that you probably will be to drunk to walk.

I'm an 18 year old girl and me and my best friend are going to Barcelona in a few weeks. We want to go out to clubs on a few nights, but we're wary about getting back to our accommodation in the early hours of the morning, which is 5 minutes from the Sagrada Familia. Will it be safe for us to walk for 20ish minutes, or should we ring for a taxi?
