First off I wanna say I know not all British people are racist, anyway I've been friends with a person from Britain for about 4 years now. But yesterday he started going off on me saying stuff like "You filipinos are the rejects of asia and are ****** fat asses. you guys are just a third world country that have people dying off." he also said "you're **** at math too so your probably not even asian, i bet you're black." Also I'm from America and he starts saying **** about America a lot like "you guys took our language and culture and ****** it up. we founded so we're better than you." He always says stuff about Indians too and he hates gays, not lesbians, just gays for some stupid reason. I honestly don't know why I was ever friends with him in the first place, but are there a lot of people in Britain like him?

There are racists everywhere, but Britain is much less racist than most countries. I am not impressed with your friend. Perhaps you should get out and find new friends.

Anyone who hates filipinos really has a problem, because filipinos are the most likeable people on the planet. They are in every country working two jobs, sending money back home for the family. They are the friendliest, warmest people I know.

The UK has laws about racism and rightly so however the nice thing is you really don't know this one person so delete him/stop chatting to him and allowing him a platform to be like this...clearly he needs to be on some medication

One British person you know is a racist, that means literally nothing. Just because Tom Metzger is a racist doesn't make all Americans racist.

There is racism here, but on a very small scale. The guy you have been "friends" with is obviously like that. This type of person can usually be identified with National Front and football hooligan activity. UK is probably the most multicultural country in the world, and generally people live in harmony.

Probably one of the least racist places on the earth. Having said that I feel racism is getting worse... people are angry at the amount of uncontrolled immigration here and the strain it is having on society. No excuse for your friends' behaviour though.

Well it depends which area are you visiting. Ask someone who lives there and do some search on the area where you are planning to go.There are places in UK which are unsafe for whites and there are places where Asians are not welcome. But things are much better now after new laws on racial abuser.

UK is not particularly racist. I find it surprising your "friend" was ranting about Filipinos. There is not much connection between UK and the Phillipines.
