The Canaries are often windy in general, because they are out in the Atlantic Ocean. You may be troubled by this, when you are out on open, sandy beaches, because the sand can whip up in your face, and get in your bags and everywhere else. If you have accommodation with a pool and sunbathing facility, then you will not notice it.

The trade winds drop at end of August, so normally you will have only little wind.

Dont't worry anyway even if its windy some days its always refreshing when its hot/sunny like it is in September )

ive been many times to all canary islands and lanzarote is windy but it wont spoil your holiday and it should still be hot to get a tan infact you probaly will be glad of the wind to cool you down

The wind will be just fine. In fact, it'll keep you cool, but not cold! :)

Basically, my mum and I are going on holiday to Lanzarote in September for my 18th Birthday.

We're staying at Los Zocos club resort in Costa Teguise and i was wondering whether the strength of the wind there will spoil the supposed 28 degree heat.

Any comments on past experiences on the weather in Costa Teguise on or around mid September would be greatly appreciated :)
