Yes, Finland would be a good place to raise a family. However, learning the Finnish language would be difficult. Finland has a very low crime rate, beautiful scenery and generally good living standards. Finland also has the best education system, most Finns start school at 7, (learning English from about 5 years old). But generally, yes, it would be a good place to raise a family. Adjusting to Finland would be quite a difficult task depending on where you live.
They do have the top educational system. Also, located next to Russia, which could bring problems at some point.
It should be, though then again, there are downsides as well such as the high unemployment rate for foreigners plus the ongoing economical downturn for example.
