Sorry Chris, the UK has been having better weather this week than the Costa Del Sol and it is a 900 miles north. That's what I mean by being unpredictable!
Cant say much about crete but fuerteventura is warm and dry all year round, its fantastic here at the moment! 28/29 degrees here today. April should be good, it normally is.
I live in Fuerteventura and April is allways good around 320 days sun can be windy hope this helps.
The further south, the better the weather.
Where is warmer and dryer - Feuraventura or Crete for the last week in April or any other ideas - must be Europe
