The Eurozone is a likelyhood but the EU is not. They need prospective buyers regardless of the currency used.
The political elite in the EU never ever bother to ask the people what they think.
If I know the Greeks, they will want out of the Eurozone and a return of the Greek Drachma - once the oldest coinage in Europe - the same currency once held in the hands of Alexander himself.

Highly unlikely . Even if Greece left the Eurozone that would not automatically mean the country would have to leave the E U .
The E U is a wealth creation organisation which offers new member states huge grants to improve national infrastructure , with the new member state typically contributing only 15% , 20% or 25% of the gross project cost . Greece went for too many projects too fast and borrowed their own contributions , and then borrowed again to fund installments due on the original debts , a cycle that could have only one end in a situation of Global recession .
Having been the authors of their own misfortune , Greece is now being assisted to return to financial wellbeing , and although that will take a long time to achieve , it WILL eventually all come right again .
In the meantime it is not in the interests of the other states in the E U that Greece should leave , nor is it in Greece's interest to leave .
If only. Get away from all the unelected suits and paper shufflers.
Well ...
