The mainland has far more to offer in culture, events, work than any island, why not head for the southern part of Spain. Andalusia and the Costa del Sol.
Ibiza is a lovely place to holiday, but very small as obviously its an island. If you need to work it may be very hard as jobs will be very limited depending on season, language etc.
Try the mainland. I have lived on the Costa Blanca 20years
There are luxorius houses, nigthlife is great from may to october, but in winter, it's a quiet place.

This question interested me, I haven't been there in over 30 years so I checked a few web sites: http://eco-ibiza.com/ibiza-real-estate-r... Holy Cow, expensive now!
Ibiza looks like an awesome city/island and the nightlife there looks badass. But is it a good place to live? What do the houses look like? I googled "Ibiza Spain houses" and all the houses looked more like luxurious villas with swimming pools and stuff. So I'm a little skeptic and doubt that those are really houses with people living in them. What's the crime rate in Ibiza btw?
