Is It True that British People love Paddington Bear?

I hope no one gets offended... haha just wondering.

Each Paddington Bear TV episode back in the 1970s and 1980s carried within it something of interest both for adults and children alike. The stories of PB also helped explain things to children and helped them become better people as they grew up.

Along with the now famous TV series - available on Youtube - there are the PB Books.

are we the British in love with Paddington Bear - yes!

I have childhood memories of Paddington Bear. I'm not sure I love it though. It's just a part of British culture and most people are fond of it.

Yes a lot of people here in UK do indeed love Paddington Bear but not to the point of obsession.

The original and real Paddington Bear is nothing like the version we see in the new movie about him.

Here is is as he was originally on TV back in the 1970s and 80s

I'm British and I do love Paddington. I read the books as a child. I've not seen the film - heard it's very good,

People all over can be fond of Paddington. I am American; I loved reading those books as a child, and I now read them to my own children. :)

The books are fondly thought of by people who grew up in the 1970s and there was an animated TV series that ran in the 1980s, so many people relate the character to their childhood.

I would love to know why you think anyone could possibly be offended by this harmless question?

That's a bit of a generalisation. However, children and their parents mostly like Paddington Bear.

I took my son to see the film. I expected to be bored but was pleasantly surprised. It was entertaining for all ages.

I liked the books when I was a small child, but I am not impressed by the film version. It does not seem the same.

The books were excellent. i fail to see the reason for offence.
