The recession is over but the growth is practically ridiculous and unemployment is not rising but it's still dreadful, so the situation is not worse than before, it's just as bad.
This is due to the fact that the economic boom of the last decade was artificial, based especially on real estate and finances and that al politicians and bankers have turned out to be corrupt.
Thanks God (if she exists), we Catalans are going to break away from Spain soon and will go our own wa even if we have also our local "thieves" in politics and big corporations.
It is about 5 years since the crash so , in theory Spain is bottoming out of the recession. BUT unless they modernise their old Francoist employment laws, Spanish kids will be a lost generation (or two).
