Random question, but I've been to Turkey once and sort of classed it as an Asian country. Like in all maps and atlas' it's part of Asia. I was just wondering why Turkey, along with countries like Georgia and Azerbaijan are classed as UEFA (European football clubs) when it comes to football? Any suggestions why?

Officially both. Most of it is in Asia, but a small part is on the other side of the Bosphorus and is in Europe. So it has a claim to join in anything European and is trying to get membership of the European Union.

Who UEFA lets in is up to them. Ditto the European Broadcasting Union, which has some members (such as Israel) that definitely aren't in Europe at all but because they are members, can enter the Eurovision Song Contest.
