Is Turkey developed?

Very developed in urban areas.

Of course building show decay, especially older ones.

And it's not an ex-communist country that I've ever heard of.

- In big cities, there are lots of construction; hotels, shopping malls, skyscrapers. But less parks, leisure places. Lots of things have been privitized in Turkey for a decade and that is the reason of rapid growth in 2000's. There are lots of investment on construction. It generates some part of GDP growth, but it is not a sustainable growth.

- As I remember GDP per capita is about 10 000 dollars. But the income is not distributed to the population, the number of millionaries in Turkey is ranked second in Europe.

-I think development strictly depens on education and manufacting. Both sucks in Turkey. The trend here is assembling things and doing construction. Thats why South Korea is become more developed since the economies are are similar a decade ago.

On paper yes, but if you compare it to the western European countries, like France Turkey falls behind.

atm Our political system more islamic. but people not. %50 people support them bc they think our economy good. in Turkey only %30 percent people religious

NO, but very close to be. the political system is not democratic.
