Although, I hate all kind of violence and find the Ukraine crisis unfortunate but It's my person opinion that the west is just trying to demonize Moscow as an aggressor and to be completely blamed at, thereby hampering it's part of story to be clearly shown. Russia have many strings attached to Ukraine, both politically and socially. It's interest to safeguard its people (pro-russian) is partly called for. On the other hand, I rather see the United states, as a defiant who is unilaterally intending to nuke Syria (a sovereign state) under a pretax of eradicating ISIS either without the United Nation security council backing or by the permission of Syrian government.
I think it's a blatant double standard to preserve just their own interest.

They were not justified in the first place. The reason for these despite the Russian-Ukrainian agreement, is to prevent Russia from doing anything else the U.S. and EU dont like. At this point, the latest sanctions really affect Russian wealth and economic conditions and Russia has had to make up losses to banks and individuals as Europe is doing for their business affected by Russian agriculture ban. Russia is thinking of closing off its air space to western flights and I agree. The worst sanctionis kicking Russia off the international electronic payment system so Russia and China are considering creating a new one. And Russia may ban imports of European luxury cars hopefully that will hit many car dealers in Germany. These measures are probably temporary.
America does not care about the local Kiev-eastern Ukraine conflict. American war machine does not make money if there is peace, so they want the conflict to continue. That is true everywhere the U.S. is involved in the world. That is obvious from what Obama did at the NATO meeting.
It's funny how new sanctions are introduced once the east of Ukraine became more or less peaceful. If the West wanted to give a signal they made it very clear.
The truth is that they won't matter very much for Russia.
