Um, ofcourse! I'm from the Uk and go to Spain several times a year. If you go to the larger cities like Barcelona, madrid, malaga, obviously you will have the odd pickpocket issue but thats just common sense, i.e. hide your cash when in a major city etc and to be honest, i have never, ever seen a glimpse of any crime at all, just like in NYC (where i have also been to). as for racism? no! i would not consider spain racist at all, as with most european countries (aside from the very few idiots). America is alot more racist than any european country i have travelled to, and i have been to most!!!

I'm really looking forward to visit Spain, one of the reasons is that my great grandfather was Spaniard, but I keep reading about racism in the country.

I'm a Hispanic male, with olive/tan skin (similar to Dani Alves, but much lighter) and I never faced racism (thankfully) I live in NYC. I really want to visit Spain, but I'm afraid it will not be safe enough. Especially in a Futbol match! Barcelona is my favorite team in the world!!
