Is it weird that I love Worthing?

What do you think?

Worthing is the place, second only to Chichester, that is responsible for the worst traffic jams on the A27. It also has three railway stations, and all trains stop at least at two of them regardless of direction and destination or whether anybody wants to get off or on.

In other words: Worthing keeps imposing itself on travellers whether it's wanted or not. Unless you are actually wanting to visit Worthing it is a right pain in the transport arrse.

I am told that there is a very good chippie near to the railway station. But have no personal experience of it because I just want to pass through the place - NOT KEEP STOPPING THERE!!!!!!

It's not all bad - the Charmandean building is a fine example of well proportioned, uncluttered and functional mid 20th century architecture. I've had plenty of time to study it while queueing on the A27.

Well, you did ask.....

No. It's nice to have somewhere you like particularly. Worthing is not a bad place to choose.

I like London and quite a few towns. However, my first love is for the countryside.

Not particularly. We all love all sorts of places for all sorts of reasons.

Well, it is nice that somebody loves it .

Not if over 80...
