Thinking in Spanish comes naturally but I had the advantage of school Spanish , then working here. The first time you dream in Spanish is rather strange.
My main difficulty still is that I do not know English grammar well, not having been properly taught it at school. Past imperative gerundial adjectival whatsits are a complete mystery to me. Why do grammer books not have parallel texts?
P.S. Cantinflas is talking nonsense. Colombian Spanish is much nicer and sweeter on the ear than the Speedy Gonzalez accent. Educated Mexican is nice too but not their northern accent. I like Chileno too but that's because of friends.
There are so many factors that influence the answer to this question.
We can't tell you. You might have a facility for learning languages. I'm guessing, from your grammar, that English isn't your first language, yet you seem to be doing okay.
Native Spaniards sound different from people from Latin America. It will likely ALL sound much faster than what you learn in class...it takes about a month for someone who really has studied to become a fluent listener, once moved to the country.
To THINK in Spanish? Takes longer.
It comes more naturally when you are immersed, than it will in class.

Actually, the best Spanish language schools are in Mexico, because those in Spain, Argentina & Colombia, had a different accent that remains during the talk, while the Mexican accent is recognized as the best in Literature, business talks and scientific.
The grammar in Spanish is more complicated than the Saxon languages, also is more descriptive and musical. in words of the Diplomatic corps.
How to learn naturally Spanish...listen the music, the songs, translate them and keep asking, moving.
I can speak both English ans Spanish fluently (born in Chile), and I believe that if you are particularly good at picking up vocabulary and at using English, your horizons will be large enough to pick up Spanish pretty well.
Heres the thing i am starting a college course next month, Spanish 1 to learn spanish, and i ask alot of people is it hard to learn? now most people reply and say no its easy. but i have come across a few people saying you have to think in spanish like if i was to speak with a native speaker over in spain i cant in mind translate from english to spanish i just have to speak it. basically think spanish? is this hard to learn mentally or will it come naturally?
