Life in Spain: Which city most recommended?

"Good chance of finding employment". In a country with 40% unemployment. Yeah. Right. Good luck with that. Are you even from the EU? Because if you aren't, then you need to have a WORK VISA. Good luck with that.

If you're an EU citizen then you have the right to live and work in Spain, but being fluent in Spanish is essential to get a job. Unemployment is incredibly high and jobs will go to Spaniards first.

However, if you're a non-EU citizen eg from Canada, USA, Australia, then it's actually illegal for you to move to Spain to live and work.

I would try Madrid or the Basque country as that's where the jobs are. I did not find Madrid very liveable. It all depends on your skills.

You wouldn't be able to move there without a job offer FIRST.

I'm in the works to plan a move and start a new life in Spain. Start fresh. I know the expenses will be there, but that aside, I'm looking for suggestions on which city and area in Spain is most livable, and have a good change of finding employment. Any suggestions?
