I am really interested in going on a mission trip some where in Eastern Europe. I specifically want to go to some kind of orphanage or institution for children. I have been on a few mission trips before in various places around the world but recently I have felt compelled to serve in Eastern Europe. I am a non-denominational Christian if that matters and would only be able to stay for a few weeks max. Does anyone have any advice for specific places I should look into going? I was thinking Croatia or Bulgaria although I really don't have any idea where to start. And if anyone knows of any organizations that go it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
What's up with Americans and religion? Kids in orphanages don't need religion. They need education and care.
Sorry but europe is not interessted is some "christian" (or whatever missionaries).
Yes there are some rater poor countries in the east (but they are NOT 3rd world hell holes) and believe me they definitely don′t want/need US born again christians ;)
Listen, if you want to help disadvantaged children anywhere, don't get involved with religion. Get involved through providing REAL help, like education (non-religious). Really, more religion doesn't help matters.
military goes on missions there all the time
