There are actually very few Mexicans in Spain, by North American standards. Let's face it, jobs are hard to find in Spain.

Your friend is unlikely to experience anything more than the occasional comment, nothing more. She needs to take with her a positive attitude, good manners and a sense of humour, and that will get her through all kinds of situations.

I am from Spain and I can tell you she will be totally fine. Those videos you have seen DO NOT represent us at all... don't get fooled. We are very open minded and have a lot of diversity within the country.

She's of Mexican descent. I once heard Spaniards really dislike Mexicans. I know not everyone is racist, but in some countries, it's more acceptable and stuff. Here in America you can't be racist. We have a bad history with it, so it's very unacceptable. But as I said, in some countries it's normal.
She's very nice and respects everyone. Not that type of person who thinks she's boss or whatever. She's my best friend, so I don't want her to get hurt.
What can she do to avoid bad things? Is Racism in Spain more acceptable? I've seen video of soccer matches with people throwing bananas at black people and holding nazi flags.
